The Fralins Host A Night of Humanities in Roanoke

On October 3rd, Cynthia Fralin (Board Member) and her husband Heywood as well as Walter Rugaber (Chair of the VFH Board) and his wife Sally co-hosted a lovely event to raise awareness and support for VFH.

Guests enjoyed cocktails while listening to the bluegrass sounds of Eddie Bond and Josh Ellis from the Virginia Folklife Program as well as an interactive demonstration of Encyclopedia Virginia.  The evening closed with BackStory History Guys Peter Onuf and Brian Balogh doing a riff on the history of “Alcohol in America”.

VFH would like to thank the Fralin’s and Rugaber’s for their generous hospitality and support on this very special evening!
