Steve Herman was born and raised in Suffolk, VA. He has had a life-long career working in the energy field and is currently a Managing Director at Energy Capital Partners.
Recently, Steve sat down with Elliot Majerczyk in our radio studio to talk about how the humanities help us better understand each other’s cultural heritage.
My passions include history and reading. I was immediately taken by the quality and diversity of the [Virginia Festival of the Book].
I found VFH to be a unique organization that makes contributions not only to Virginia, but to the entire country.
The humanities play an extremely important role, especially today as the country becomes much more diverse.
I think the humanities, which highlight the cultural heritage of all Virginians and tries to get all of us to understand each other’s cultural heritage, cannot be more important than it is today.
