Lynchburg Community Dialogue on Race and Racism

VFH’s Karenne Wood will speak at at a panel discussion in Lynchburg on Monday, October 8, 2012 at 7 p.m. Monday’s event is sponsored by the Lynchburg YWCA, and it will be held at the Lynchburg Public Library.

The panel is part of a series of lectures and discussions in an ongoing community Dialogue on Race and Racism, entitled “Many Voices – One Community”. The dialogue initiative began in 2007, encouraging community members to come together for “study circles” and discuss racial issues facing the Lynchburg community. Following the ideas recommendations of study circle participants, action teams then work together to come up with plans to implement the ideas generated in these discussions to improve Lynchburg.
