Illustrated with examples from recent work, Pike will discuss various methods used in making pictures inspired by texts. The texts will include a piece of short story fiction, a script for a play, and different types of poetry. The goal is not to provide recipes for success, rather to encourage more thoughtful engagement with source materials.
