Facilitated by Dr. Andrew Canady of the history faculty at Averett, Our Civil Rights: Race & Labor is a series of conversations that explore the history of race as it influenced labor in the Nation, the South and in our local community. This first session kicks off the series with refreshments (6:30-7:00pm) and lays down the broad historical scope and ideas that will be discussed over the summer.

Free and open to the community, Our Civil Rights: Race & Labor is a collaboration of the Pittsylvania County Public Library and History United, a program of Virginia Foundation for the Humanities.
