Temporality, Rationality, and the Childish in the Ongoing War for the Falkland-Malvinas Islands

The Virginia Foundation for the Humanities War, Identity and The Liberal State is pleased to present a lecture by Victoria M. Basham, senior lecturer in politics and Director of Doctoral Studies at the Strategy and Security Institute, University of Exeter, UK.  Dr. Basham will examine the relations and differences between Britain and Argentina in the ongoing conflict over the Falklands-Malvinas. She is the author of War, Identity and the Liberal State: Everyday Experiences of the Geopolitical in the Armed Forces (2013, Routledge).
