VFH Board Member Betsy Barton

Born and raised in Norfolk, VA, Betsy Barton is a former teacher who now serves as a history and social science specialist with Virginia’s Department of Education.

Betsy recently sat down with Kelley Libby in our radio studio and talked about the importance of education and the role VFH’s Encyclopedia Virginia plays in Virginia classrooms.

Whether it’s information on Virginia Indians or information about different time periods, the depth and breadth of content makes it a valuable resource for teachers.

VFH does a remarkable job offering opportunities for people to share their culture and heritage.
