We recognize that the Coronavirus presents significant challenges, both personal and work-related, to all our prospective grant applicants. While much has changed in all our lives as a result of the Coronavirus, we have decided to keep the application deadline and review schedule for the spring 2020 Open Grant cycle the same.

Applications are due April 15; and funding decisions will be made on June 5. As always, all applicants are encouraged to contact staff and to submit a draft proposal for staff review prior to the formal application.

Applicants who are facing extraordinary circumstances as a result of challenges related to COVID-19 may request a one-week extension of the deadline; but any such extensions must be approved in advance.

Applicants are also strongly encouraged to consider alternatives to in-person events at this time.

For this cycle only, we are suspending the requirement that applicants submit a hard copy of the complete application. Digital signatures for the Project Director and Fiscal Officer are allowed on the cover page in lieu of original signatures.
