Clark Hoyt

Pulitzer-Prize winning journalist; 38 years (1968-2006) with Knight Ridder Newspapers as reporter, editor, Washington bureau chief and company’s chief news officer; Public Editor of The New York Times (2007-2010); various positions (editor-at-large, senior adviser to the CEO and ombudsman) Bloomberg News (2010-2015); Consultant to the non-profit InsideClimate News (2016-2018). Shared the 1973 Pulitzer Prize for national reporting with Robert S. Boyd of Knight Ridder for coverage of the mental health history of Democratic vice-presidential candidate Thomas Eagleton. Other Awards include W.M. Kiplinger Distinguished Contributions to Journalism Award from the National Press Foundation (2016).
