Emmy Thacker serves as the Program Coordinator for the Virginia Center for the Book and the Virginia Festival of the Book. She was born and raised in Charlottesville and graduated from James Madison University in 2020 with a BFA in graphic design. Prior to joining Virginia Humanities, Emmy worked as an arts administrator at Visible Records, where she coordinated artist residencies and gallery exhibitions and maintains a studio practice. She is passionate about printmaking and believes in the power of growing community connection through accessible arts.
