Patricia Miller is the Editor of Encyclopedia Virginia (EV). Her responsibilities include identify and working with scholars to create content for EV, editing EV entries, and working with the EV team to promote the encyclopedia through social media, public outreach and new media opportunities. She is the author of Bringing Down the Colonel: A Sex Scandal of the Gilded Age and the “Powerless” Woman Who Took on Washington. Her work on the intersection of women and politics has appeared in The Atlantic, Salon, The Nation, The Huffington Post, and Ms. magazine.
