Rick Barker, a Southern Virginia native, is the founder and CEO of several Danville-based businesses, including Supply Resources, a leading designer, sourcing partner, and distributor of packaging materials serving customers across the United States and Canada. He also leads Thrive Logistics, a third-party logistics company, and Rick Barker Properties, which specializes in the adaptive reuse of historic buildings in Danville’s River District.
A dedicated civic and business leader, Rick currently serves as Vice Chairman of the Future of the Piedmont Foundation, is a member of the Executive Committee of the Blue Ridge Innovation Corridor (BRIC), and serves on the Board of the Danville Area Development Foundation. His previous board service includes American National Bank, the Virginia Chamber of Commerce, the Danville Regional Foundation (Vice Chair), the DCC Educational Foundation, and the Danville Museum of Fine Arts & History.
In 2022, he received Preservation Virginia’s Gabriella Page Award for Outstanding Preservation in recognition of his leadership in historic preservation.
