Trey Mitchell is the director of communications for Virginia Humanities. He was hired in 2005 as Virginia Humanities’ first webmaster. Prior to coming to Virginia Humanities, Trey worked in the UVA Web Communications Office as senior web developer. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in electronic media management from Northern Arizona University and is currently working on a Master’s degree in Public Interest Communications through the University of Florida. In 2009 Trey co-founded the annual edUi conference for web professionals working with cultural organizations and co-chaired the conference until it was discontinued in 2018.
