As part of Radford University’s 75th anniversary commemoration of WWII, Wednesday February 26, 2020, 4:00 – 5:00 p.m., Kathleen Ingoldsby and Melinda Wagner will discuss the Floyd Story Center’s oral history film project, From the Front Porch to the Front Lines: Rural Virginia on a Threshold of Change.

The project partnered with Floyd County High School and Radford University classes over nine years, with students producing short films from their interviews with World War II veterans and their families. Sample films from the DVD set of 39 movies will be screened.

From the Front Porch to the Front Lines was produced with support from Virginia Humanities.

Our work brings people together and honors our shared humanity.
