On Wednesday, August 11 at 7pm, Peggy Crosson, President of the Virginia Lewis & Clark Legacy Trail, will speak on Botetourt County’s connection to the Lewis & Clark exploration of the Louisiana Purchase: the reasons the Virginia trail was created, how it is has been developed, and where the VLCLT routes exist today.
Joining the presentation are Kip and Lyn Burton, Co-Chairs of the Botetourt County Lewis & Clark Legacy Trail Committee, who will discuss the specific historical ties the county has to both Explorers, as well as past, current and future activities of the committee.
