Museums on Main Street (MoMS) continues with a month’s long residence at the Danville Museum of Art and History. Presented in partnership with Virginia’s Association of Museums, MoMS is part of the Smithsonian Traveling Exhibition that brings Smithsonian exhibits to small-town museums across America. This year’s exhibit, entitled Crossroads: Change in Rural America, explores how America’s shifting population has affected rural life and lessons learned in the effort to sustain it.
The Crossroads exhibit will move to different small-town museums throughout the year. Each new installation will be accentuated by community partners who will contribute programs, discussions, and activities unique to local history.
