Museums on Main Street (MoMS) continues with a month’s long residence at the Historic Crab Orchard Museum. Presented in partnership with Virginia’s Association of Museums, MoMS is part of the Smithsonian Traveling Exhibition that brings Smithsonian exhibits to small-town museums across America. This year’s exhibit, entitled Crossroads: Change in Rural America, explores how America’s shifting population has affected rural life and lessons learned in the effort to sustain it.

The Crossroads exhibit will move to different small-town museums throughout the year. Each new installation will be accentuated by community partners who will contribute programs, discussions, and activities unique to local history.
