Join the Fluvanna NAACP Branch on the last Saturday in February for a virtual discussion about the upcoming film Reconstructed:The Rebuilding of African American Communities Through Faith and Education.

During this virtual presentation, filmmaker Horace Scruggs will discuss the documentary, which focuses on the power of the Black churches in Fluvanna after Reconstruction. Through the lens of personal stories and historical events, the documentary illuminates the role the church played in anchoring the Black community, leaving a lasting legacy that continues to into present day.

Presented by the Fluvanna Arts Council thanks in part to a grant from Virginia Humanities.
