The I Am Worth It Youth Summit will be held on December 18, 2022. A total of 100 youth and 50-60 parents from across the Richmond Metro Area will participate in the summit. The youth workshop experiences will focus on self-awareness, mental health, pathways to success through education, and the impact of civic engagement.
Parents will experience an empowerment session to learn skills to enhance communication and engagement with their child(ren), how to navigate the youth development stages in this century, and how to navigate community resources for their children.
All attendees will be engaged in learning about the history of the National Pan-Hellenic Council of Metro Richmond and the Black History Museum and Cultural Center of Virginia (BHMVA) which will include a tour of BHMVA’s 40th-anniversary exhibition, Forging Freedom, Justice and Equality.
