Virginia Humanities Grants staff invite you to join us for a free virtual workshop with Rich Borenstein and Sherri Staples of Cinebar Productions. Both are experienced video producers who have worked on dozens of projects in Virginia and beyond. Some of their clients include the Virginia Association of Museums (VAM), the Chrysler Museum (Norfolk), the Danville Museum of History & Fine Arts, and the Smithfield Schoolhouse Museum.

They will provide an overview of best practices for producing oral histories, starting with an introduction, project planning and production, recording equipment, conducting the interview, after the interview, and other resources. We will provide time for discussion and Q & A, as well as make all the handouts available to download.

This 1.5 hour Zoom workshop is free to attend but we do ask you to register in advance. The webinar will be recorded.

Our work brings people together and honors our shared humanity.
