A World in a Zip Code includes photographs, video, and oral history by the Columbia Pike Documentary Project, a team of photographers and storytellers whose work captures the evolving life of Arlington County’s historic Columbia Pike corridor.

Having welcomed new citizens from every corner of the planet, Columbia Pike is one of the most ethnically diverse communities in the United States. The area has also undergone significant changes in recent years due to new development in the area. Columbia Pike Documentary Project’s work continues to capture this shifting landscape and the impact it is having on the area’s residents.

The exhibition coincides with the release of The Road Ahead, Columbia Pike Documentary Project’s most recent book, which includes photographs and oral history from the past year. Previous collections of the group’s work include Transitions and Living Diversity.
