Hosted by ArtsFairfax and Fairfax Poet Laureate Danielle Badra, and made possible in part by a Virginia Humanities grant, come celebrate a new poetry series called “Poetry in the Parks.”
The fourth event in this series will be a generative writing workshop of poetry at Huntley Meadows Park. This event will begin with a naturalist guided tour of Huntley Meadows Park and will conclude at the Visitor’s Center where attendees will be provided with poetry examples, writing prompts and an opportunity to share their poetry inspired by the park. Learn about the amazing wetlands and waterfowl of Huntley Meadows and share your poetic meditations on the natural world.
