Visit Powhatan County and experience its Juneteenth Celebration.

The following community organizations will join together to make this truly a day for everyone to celebrate: Powhatan Habitat for Humanity, Drexel-Morrell Center, Powhatan African American Cultural Arts Center, Powhatan County NAACP, and Powhatan County Parks and Recreation.

The Powhatan African American Cultural Arts Center is sponsoring a special exhibit entitled “Ancestry 100: Teachers,” created by community researchers at the Drexel-Morrell Center. Food trucks, craft vendors, DJ Conrad Feggins, performances by Powhatan’s Mount Zion Baptist Church Praise Dancers and Mime, the Juneteenth Community Choir, and Comedian Charlie Williams will make this a highly engaging day.

Powhatan County’s Juneteenth Celebration is 6/22/2024, 11 AM to 4 PM.
