Come celebrate the last installment of “Poetry Beneath the Stars,” hosted by ArtsFairfax and the Fairfax Poet Laureate. Have you ever found yourself gazing at the stars and your brain starts to wander – where do I fit into this great expanse? Is that a planet or a star? You will be provided with examples of star-gazing poetry and given writing prompts to dig deep and generate your own poetry all while staring up at the marvelous milky way. Maybe you’ll write a poem? Maybe you’ll spot a shooting star? Both are possible at Poetry Beneath the Stars. This event will include telescope viewing in the Roll Top Observatory, weather permitting.
