What are the benefits and expectations of residency at the Library of Virginia (LVA)
Fellows choosing residence at LVA are provided a personal office space with a computer and access to copiers, a fax machine, etc. In addition, fellows are offered a liaison to help maximize their research by connecting them to various manuscript collections and/or archivists who can aid in their research.
Fellows at LVA are encouraged to attend weekly lunches with LVA staff and other Fellows to discuss projects and progress. Fellows are expected to engage with LVA’s outreach efforts by giving a public talk on their work and contributing to LVA’s UncommonWealth blog, Broadside magazine, and (when appropriate) social media.
